River City Casino Nearing Completion Of $82 Million Expansion

Construction on a 14,000-square-foot event center at the River City Casino in Lemay is nearing completion. The facility, slated for a June 6 opening, will accommodate 1,200 to 1,400 people for shows and from 700 to 900 for banquets. A 200-room hotel is scheduled to open at the casino in September.

Las Vegas-based Pinnacle Entertainment, which owns other St. Louis casinos and hotels and has agreed to acquire Ameristar St. Charles as part of a larger, $2.8-billion deal, is spending $82 million on the River City project.
