Andy’s Frozen Custard slowly grew its number of corporate stores over the past few years, but the Springfield-based company is now shifting its focus to adding franchise stores, with a goal of doubling its locations within a few years.

Andy’s currently has 11 corporate stores and six franchisee-owned stores among its 17 locations, which are scattered across Missouri, Arkansas, Texas and Illinois. Founder Andy Kuntz said the company receives six to 10 franchise inquiries a week. But the company has also been active on the recruiting side, seeking franchisees who want to open multiple locations.
