Business Development Follows Kansas City Health Care Campus Expansion

KU Hospital and the University of Kansas Medical Center have spent $186 million on construction and expansion projects since 2011, with more medical projects upcoming, and that development is drawing commercial projects to midtown Kansas City. The developer or a hotel, restaurant and convenience store said, “We were interested because of the 10,000 to 12,000 people going in and out of the medical campus across the street.”
