Sprint Shareholders File Lawsuit To Delay Vote On SoftBank Deal

Unhappy shareholders of Sprint Nextel hope to persuade a Kansas judge Friday to delay next week’s vote on a $20.1 billion bid by SoftBank to buy 70 percent of the Overland Park, Kan. company. The lawsuit states that the SoftBank deal is unfair for Sprint’s shareholders, and the suit seeks court-ordered changes that would reopen bidding for control of Sprint. This would enable Sprint to further explore Dish Network’s $25.2 billion bid for the company.
