St. Louis Named A Top City for “Fixer-Upper” Properties

St. Louis ranks No. 4 among the “Best Cities For Buying Fixer-Upper Bargains,” according to RealtyTrac, an Irvine, Calif.-based online marketplace for foreclosure properties. St. Louis has 1,021 bank-owned properties built before 1960 and valued under $100,000. Detroit is the best city for buying a fixer-upper according to the study, with 3,773 houses built before 1960 with an average market value of $41,503, the lowest on the list.
