Missouri Manufacturers Want Trade Violations Focus During U.S.-China Talks

The email from a Chinese company that proposes a way to evade U.S. tariffs by shipping through a third country is the sort of flagrant trade violation that Missouri manufacturers want President Barack Obama to bring up to China’s president during their two-day summit today in California. Several Missouri companies feel victimized by these practices and are at the forefront of a national coalition aiming to halt the cheating and force U.S. Customs officials to do a better job of collecting the duties.
