Brightergy CFO Steps Down Amid Litigation With Adknowledge

The CFO of Kansas City-based Brightergy has left the solar energy company as her whistleblower lawsuit against local digital advertising company Adknowledge goes to trial. Jill Suppes claims that Adknowledge’s founder, Scott Lynn, forced her to leave the company after she refused to sign off on a tax deduction tied to a $24 million payment to a disgruntled investor, according to her suit. Suppes joined Brightergy in April 2012 after leaving Adknowledge in late 2011.
