New Rules Face Dish In Sprint Bidding

Overland Park, Kan.-based Sprint Nextel has given Dish Network one week to top a new merger bid by Tokyo-based SoftBank, which puts new and more expensive hurdles in the way of the satellite television company. Sprint CEO Dan Hesse said the company has cut off merger talks with Dish. But Dish has shown a preference for disruption, and some analysts are not counting them out to make another unsolicited bid.
