Hallmark Chooses Google Executive For Board

The board of directors for Kansas City-based Hallmark Cards Inc. elected Google Vice President Claire Hughes Johnson as a new member, partly for her digital expertise.

She runs the Google Offers mobile business unit. She also previously led teams tied to Global Online Sales, Gmail and what is now known as Google Wallet. Johnson’s selection comes as the company, which is known for its print products, is rolling out more technology-enabled efforts.
