Missourians are some of the nation’s most prolific spenders when it comes to forking over bucks for Independence Day bangs and booms. Four metro areas in the state rank among the top 25 in the U.S. for total annual revenue generated by fireworks sales, new data from SizeUp shows.

Kansas City leads the way. It’s the second-largest metro market for fireworks in the U.S., with between $625 million and $650 million in total annual revenue in the fireworks industry. St. Louis (14th), St. Joseph (15th) and Springfield (22nd) also cracked the top 25.

San Antonio topped the SizeUp list, with between $700 and $725 million in annual revenue generated by fireworks. Miami, Chicago and Dallas followed Kansas City to round out the top five.
