Report: Missouri Beer Exports Stagnate, Breweries Have Doubled

There was relatively little movement in the number of shipments of Missouri-made beer from 2011 to 2012, when overall U.S. beer exports expanded by more than 3 million barrels. But according to the national trade association that compiled the data, Missouri’s long-term exports have remained steady — even during the recession, when U.S. exports took a hit.
The data also points to the rise of independent breweries in the state: From 2004 to 2011, the number of active brewers in Missouri more than doubled, to 51.
