Travel + Leisure recently released its list of the top 50 large-city hotels in the continental United States, recognizing three Missouri hotels. The Four Seasons in St. Louis ranks fourth on the list. The Ritz-Carlton in St. Louis is No. 21, and the Raphael Hotel in Kansas City follows at No. 22. None of the hotels were included in the top 50 of last year’s rankings.
The criteria Travel + Leisure used for determining the rankings included rooms and facilities, location, service, restaurants and food, and value.
The owner of the Four Seasons, Las Vegas-based Pinnacle Entertainment, announced last month that it plans to sell the property as part of an effort to ease the Federal Trade Commission’s antitrust concerns and gain approval of a proposed $2.8 billion acquisition of Ameristar Casinos.
