VelociData Completes $10 Million Funding Round

VelociData Inc., a Webster Groves-based firm that specializes in data normalization for large corporations, has raised $10 million from three major investors to increase its sales force and hire for leadership positions.

One of the investors, former Motorola chairman and CEO Christopher Galvin, has joined the company’s board. The other investors are Bush O’Donnell, a financial services holding company based in Clayton, and NewSpring Growth Capital, a venture firm based in Radnor, Pa.

James O’Donnell, chairman and CEO of VelociData, said Galvin will help the company in its marketing, sales and other pursuits because of his reputation in the corporate community. O’Donnell declined to disclose how much each of the investors contributed.
