Overland Park Scores U.S. Youth Soccer Championships

Overland Park will host the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships next week, just three years after the Kansas City suburb last hosted the event. The July 23-28 tournament will bring more than 2,000 young athletes on 88 teams from 24 different states to the Overland Park Soccer Complex in the largest tournament in the history of the USYSA.

The city expects more than 8,000 hotel rooms to be booked in the metro area, and with the retail and restaurant traffic increase, the cumulative economic impact is projected to reach $4 million.
