Economic Development Leader’s Tax Liens Divulged Amid Dispute

The consultant who Clay County commissioners have chosen to lead the county’s economic development effort “has got $190,000 worth of federal tax liens from not paying income tax,” a Clay County Economic Development Council leader said. County Commissioners voted to withdraw the county’s $162,500 economic development contract from the EDC and give it to the new Clay County Economic Development Alliance led by the consultant.
