Prime Healthcare Says Breach Of Contract Suit Unfounded

Prime Healthcare, the California-based hospital company that bought two Kansas City-area hospitals earlier this year, says that a breach of contract lawsuit filed by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health System (SCLHS) is meritless. SLCHS said Prime has not met sale contract agreements regarding patient billing from its April acquisition of Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan. and St. John Hospital in Leavenworth, Kan.

Prime said in a statement that the assertions by SCLHS “are not supported by the facts or the law,” that Prime has paid all invoices in full and has not violated any intellectual property law.
