St. Louis-Area Plant Science Center To Undergo $45 Million Expansion

The Danforth Plant Science Center in Creve Couer announced a $45 million expansion expected to provide space for 100 new scientists and enhance the St. Louis area’s reputation as a bioscience hub. The facility currently houses 227 employees in about 170,000 square feet of space. The addition, slated for completion in 2015, will include 80,000 square feet designed to accommodate cutting-edge robotics, bioinformatics and group approaches to research. A state board approved $4.5 million in tax credits for the project.
