Unilever is planning a $152.5 million expansion at its margarine and spreads manufacturing plant in Olathe, Kan., which will increase the plant’s size by 50 percent and boost its employee count by 100, to 270.

The company, which has its global headquarters in Rotterdam and London, makes products like Country Crock, Promise, Imperial and I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter! at the plant in suburban Kansas City.

The expansion announcement comes less than a week after Unilever announced the $580 million sale of its Wish-Bone brands. Another Unilever plant in the Kansas City area produces those dressings.
