St. Louis Part Of Produce-Focused Grocery Chain’s Midwest Expansion

Fresh Thyme Farmers Market plans to open its first area store in a St. Louis suburb next year, then continue to expand in the region to open as many as ten.
The produce-focused chain says it will open 50 stores throughout the Midwest, where it will position itself as a cheaper alternative to Whole Foods and capitalize on a growing appetite for fresh, unprocessed food.
The Pheonix-based company launched in 2012.
