Kansas City is finally on the short list with New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Atlanta and even Paris, but it’s probably not the list the city’s leaders desired. Jalopnik, an automobile culture blog owned by the New York-based Gawker Media family, listed Kansas City International Airport among its “Ten Worst Airports in the World.” KCI appeared as No. 9, in front of No. 10 Newark Liberty International Airport and behind No. 8 Honolulu International Airport.
In another development, United Airlines’ scheduled move from Terminal A at Kansas City International Airport to Terminal C was postponed at the last minute Wednesday because of a problem with communication equipment. An Aviation Department spokesman said the postponement is indefinite and may extend into next week.
