Google Fiber is offering residents in qualified areas of Kansas City the ability to sign up for its ultra high-speed internet service through Dec. 22. The company said the move is in response to the “many people” who have moved to “fiberhoods,” or qualified neighborhoods with the fiber network, and requested a new sign-up period added.

Kansas City neighborhoods without Google Fiber will have additional opportunities to qualify in the future.
