Millennium Hotel In St. Louis To Close In January

The Millennium Hotel in St. Louis will shut down on Jan. 22. The 780-room hotel, which has already taken all but 164 rooms out of operation, has not been able to keep up with the expectations of management and guests, according to a Millennium Hotels and Resorts general manager.
The hotel’s closure will cost 80 employees their jobs. Members of the community speculate the Millennium may be converted for residential use.
The Millennium, once the largest in St. Louis, has been known as Stouffer’s Riverfront, Clarion and Regal Riverfront in its 60-year history.
