Despite little news on the project in recent months, plans for a mixed-use development that will feature a Whole Foods Market and more than 150 apartments near the campus of the University of Missouri-Kansas City are moving forward.

Developers with VanTrust Real Estate LLC are scheduled to provide an update on the project, which was initially announced in June 2012, at a Dec. 16 meeting of the Country Club Right-of-Way Advisory Committee of the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority.

The KCATA owns the right-of-way that runs along one edge of the development site and has been proposed as an extension route for the Kansas City streetcar system.
