After Merger, Crestwood Midstream Expects Growth In KC Office

Inergy LP has a new name, Crestwood Midstream Partners, and has undergone plenty of other changes since its merger earlier this year with a Houston-based firm. But the company still has about 125 employees in its Kansas City office — the same number as before the merger – and is “expecting significant growth,” according to Bill Gautreaux, president of Crestwood’s liquids and crude oil unit.

Crestwood works in the so-called midstream part of the energy business, handling the transportation and storage of natural gas and crude oil. The company plans to invest $1.2 billion over the next four years to increase its business in various energy plays, including $180 million in North Dakota as part of an effort to build more infrastructure.
