Midas Hospitality, a St. Louis-based hotel developer, will open its fifth St. Louis-area hotel in Wentzville, a Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, on Tuesday. The $9 million, 90-room hotel will be among the first to incorporate Marriott’s Generation 5 prototype, which seeks to appeal to modern travelers by adding contemporary aesthetics to its traditional look.
Midas is an eight-year-old company that operates 20 hotels in 10 states. David Robert, Midas’ managing member and CEO, said Midas, which expects sales of $60 million in 2014, has grown substantially over the past year. He said the Fairfield Inn & Suites would help serve a Wentzville market that Midas believes can support more hotel rooms.
