MiTek Industries, announced Monday that it has acquired Truss Industry Production Systems Inc., which produces an automated jigging system. Terms of the deal were not disclosed in a release announcing the deal.

Chesterfield-based MiTek, a subsidiary of Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway Company, supplies structural connector systems, equipment, software and services to the construction industry.

The company said in the release that the acquisition of Truss Industry Protection Systems, or TIPS, would allow it to offer a more diverse selection to the structural building component industry. TIPS, which was founded in 2005 in South Dakota, will begin operating as a division of MiTek.

Within the past year, MiTek also acquired Benson Industries LLC, which designs, fabricates and installs custom unitized curtain wall systems.
