Children’s Mercy, KU Medical Center To Collaborate On Pediatrics Programs

Two Kansas City-area hospitals, the University of Kansas Medical Center and Children’s Mercy Hospital, have announced they plan to further integrate their pediatrics programs.

Michael Artman, the chairman of the pediatrics departments at Children’s Mercy and the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, will now also fill the same role at the KU School of Medicine. Additionally, Children’s Mercy has been designated as a principal pediatric teaching for the KU Medical Center. 

The two hospitals announced plans for collaboration in late 2012 and have since worked together on medical training, clinical trials and research.
