St. Louis Advertising Leader Joseph Osborn Dies

Joseph Osborn, c0-founder of agribusiness marketing firm Osborn Barr, died Jan. 9 at the age of 65.

Osborn co-founded the company first known as Osborn & Barr after Monsanto approached him about taking its advertising to an outside agency. As Monsanto grew so did Osborn & Barr. At one time, it was the largest agribusiness marketing firm in North America.

Now called Osborn Barr, the company remains one of the largest advertising firms in St. Louis. It had an income of $24 million in 2012 and 180 full-time employees.
