Garmin Co-Founder Gives $1 Million To KU Engineering School

The co-founder of Garmin International Inc. is donating $1 million to the University of Kansas School of Engineering. The company, based on the Kansas side of metropolitan Kansas City, designs, manufactures and markets GPS navigation products. Half of Min Kao’s gift will create the Engineering Design Studios named after him, and the remainder will establish a scholarship at the school.
