Catholic University In St. Louis Gets New President

Fontbonne University’s board of trustees has selected a new president, J. Michael Pressimone, who will start the job July 1 and succeed Dennis Golden, who’s retiring after leading the university since 1995.

Pressimone is currently vice president of advancement at Alvernia University in Reading, Pa. He launched that university’s first comprehensive capital campaign, according to a statement from Fontbonne.

Golden made $276,091 in 2012. Fontbonne, with annual tuition of $22,684, has an enrollment of more than 2,000 students, about half of them undergraduates, and reported revenue of $41.5 million in 2012. The Catholic institution has a current endowment of $18.4 million.
