Budweiser Campaigns To Make Baseball’s Opening Day A National Holiday

Budweiser next month will once again feature the logos of 23 MLB teams on 6 million cases of beer, but this year the St. Louis brewer will do even more to celebrate the start of baseball season. Budweiser and St. Louis Cardinals great Ozzie Smith are leading an effort to make baseball’s opening day a national holiday with a petition to the White House that seeks to garner 100,000 signatures by March 31.

As part of the effort, Budweiser is launching a campaign with digital ads on ESPN.com and MLB.com. Major League Baseball’s commissioner endorsed the effort.
