Tim Hortons, the Canadian coffee and donut chain, has set its sights on St. Louis as part of a five-year growth plan announced Tuesday. The company plans to add 800 locations globally, including 40 in the St. Louis area, by the end of 2018.
Tim Hortons was founded in Ontario in 1964 and first came to the U.S. in 1984. The company has 4,485 restaurants, 859 of which are in the U.S. The forty restaurants coming to St. Louis will be the first in Missouri.
