Kansas City Bid For GOP Convention Makes Final Eight

Kansas City is one of eight cities remaining in the race to host the 2016 Republican National Convention. The Republican National Committee said bidding cities will meet in Washington on March 3 to present their bids to the site selection committee.

The committee will make site visits in “late spring” and vote on a winner in “late summer/fall,” according to the RNC website. The other cities in contention are Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus, Denver, Dallas, Las Vegas and Phoenix.
