KCI Board Takes No Stand On Terminal Construction

The Mayor’s KCI Advisory Board will not give a specific recommendation of which terminal layout is the best option for Kansas City International Airport, and is passing along information gathered so far to the mayor and city council and let them decide.

The 24-person board was charged with determining the best course of action for KCI. They decided they don’t have enough financial information to give a recommendation.

The board has spent the past few months narrowing down all of its options to a set of four alternatives the city should study: rehabilitate the facility; expand and repurpose existing terminals; build a new central terminal and repurpose the others; or build a single terminal.
