Boeing Gets Navy Contract Expansion

Boeing Co. has been awarded a $6.6 million modification to an existing Navy contract to upgrade aircraft systems test equipment, with the work to be performed at the company’s St. Louis operations. The automated test system is used to diagnose problems with radar and other electronic systems on aircraft such as the F/A-18 Hornet.

The U.S. Department of Defense announced the award, and work is slated for completion in August 2015.

Boeing Defense, Space and Security, based in Hazelwood, is a $33 billion business with 15,110 full-time local employees.
