Teamsters union members voted to ratify a labor agreement covering workers at Anheuser-Busch InBev breweries in St. Louis and elsewhere in the United States, the first contract revision since InBev bought the company in 2008.

Teamsters at A-B InBev, already paid more than $70 per hour in total compensation, will get, on average, more than $24,000 in additional wages and bonuses during the five-year contract term, the union said. The agreement covers more than 4,500 workers, the union said.

After five months of bargaining, A-B InBev and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters announced March 22 that they had reached a tentative agreement on the new contract.
