KC Agency Barkley Creates Provocative Ad For New Airline Serving City

Spirit Airlines, which will begin flying out of Kansas City International Airport in August, has received brutal criticism recently for negative reviews, such as being dubbed the nation’s “most complained about airline” and having the “rudest flight attendants.” A big misstep of Spirit Airlines was launching a new business model without educating flyers about why and how it works.

Barkley is answering those questions and others through its latest campaign, and the Kansas City advertising agency is doing it in a provocative way. Two of Barkley’s video ads feature an individual – a man in one and a woman in another – stripping down to his or her skivvies to explain the “Bare Fare.”
