The 4.4 million-square-foot campus will be the largest office development in the Kansas City area, and the inclusion of the training center and health clinic would add 50 acres to the 237-acre plan.  This expansion would add $213.7 million to the initial proposal cost estimate of $4.2 billion.

When it opens in 2024, the campus will hold approximately 15,000 new Cerner employees. They currently employ 9,000 people in the Kansas City area. The revision will be discussed at the July meeting of the Kansas City Tax Increment Financing Commission.
