Cortex, a 200-acre innovation district in St. Louis, will invest $5 million to renovate the Center for Emerging Technologies, which is rebranding as CIC@CET.

Since 1998, the Center for Emerging Technologies has provided support services and capital to technology companies. The Cambridge Innovation Center, one of the largest innovation centers in the country, will manage the Center for Emerging Technologies for at least three years as part of the agreement which will rebrand the center. The Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC)  is already planning to move into 30,000 square-feet of space in the @4240 building in the Cortex district.

Renovations will likely include a revamped reception area, new co-working space and office space designed for short-term leases, and will be aimed to keep the center relevant to the entrepreneurial community.
