Price Hikes At Starbucks Start Tuesday

Starbucks, the Seattle-based coffee chain, announced Friday that it will raise prices on some drinks starting Tuesday. The increase in prices range from 5 to 20 cents.

The company’s packaged coffee sold in grocery stores will cost an extra dollar, up to $9.99 for a 12-ounce bag.

The reasons driving the prices hikes have not yet been disclosed.

Other coffee companies have also raised their prices recently. J.M. Smucker’s announced earlier this month that it was raising the price of its Folgers bagged coffee by 9 percent.
