With Nixon’s Signature, Sunday Motorcycle Sales Now Allowed

Missouri next month will join Illinois, Kansas and Arkansas by allowing motorcycle sales on Sundays. However, car sales are still banned.

The bill was one of eight signed by Nixon Monday. The legislation was pushed by Worth Harley Davidson, a Kansas City dealership, that said it was at a competitive disadvantage because Kansas allows Sunday sales. It was estimated that the dealership lost about $7 million worth of gross sales a year because of Missouri’s ban.
