Katz Seeks New Trial After Losing A-B Sex Discrimination Case

Former Anheuser-Busch executive Francine Katz has filed a motion asking for a new trial in her sex discrimination lawsuit against the brewery. After three weeks of testimony and 10 hours of deliberation last May, nine jurors sided with Anheuser-Busch and three with Katz.

“Given the closeness of the case, any legal errors that occurred in the way the case was presented to the jury could have decisively influenced its outcome,” Katz’s attorney wrote in the motion, according to KSDK. Katz says there were three legal errors that justify a new trial.
