Developer Starts Work On $70 Million Mixed-Use Project In KC Area

Work will begin immediately on a roughly $70 million project that will add 333 luxury apartment units and 36,000 square feet of retail space on 8 acres adjacent to the Woodside Health and Tennis Club in Westwood. McPherson Contractors Inc. of Topeka will build the structure, which will include 91 apartment units and 20,000 square feet of retail space on the ground-floor.

Within the next few days, the developers expect to announce the signing of their first retail tenant, a new restaurant.
