Operations at Everest College in Kansas City will continue as usual, school officials say, even though the facility is among the 85 schools currently listed as being for sale by its corporate parent, Corinthian Colleges Inc. Last month Corinthian, a national for-profit college corporation, announced that education officials had limited its access to federal funds after it failed to provide documents and other information. Critics had accused the corporation of altering student attendance information and job-placement rates.

Kansas City Everest offers degrees for people seeking careers as dental assistants, massage therapists, medical assistants and pharmacy assistants, as well as those seeking to work in medical insurance billing and criminal justice.
