Missouri’s Foreclosure Number Among Nation’s Lowest

Less than 1 percent of homes in Missouri are in foreclosure, and only nine other states have a lower rate, according to a report from a California-based real estate tracker. The report by CoreLogic looked at foreclosed on houses — when a property is auctioned and results in a home’s purchase by either a third party, such as an investor, or by the lender — for the 12 months ending May 31. During that time period, 13,904 foreclosures were completed in Missouri.

Nationally, completed foreclosures are at the lowest point since December 2007, CoreLogic said.
