A $2.1 million settlement agreement has been filed in St. Louis Circuit Court on behalf of Schnuck Markets customers who were impacted by a data breach.

An estimated 2.4 million credit and debit cards were impacted by a breach that ran from December 2012 to March 2013. With final approval, the settlement would pay affected customers up to $200 for out-of-pocket fees, $10 for affected cards and up to $10,000 for victims with financial loses.

A final approval hearing  of the class-action suit is scheduled for January. A related federal court case on the issue is still unresolved. The grocer also has ongoing litigation with two payment processing companies.
