NorthPoint Development has confirmed plans for an industrial distribution park in south Kansas City with buildings covering a total of about 1.2 million square feet. NorthPoint CEO Nathaniel Hagedorn said he expects about $45 million of investment in the park, which will be located on a 90-acre swath of land near the site of the future Cerner Three Trails campus.
NorthPoint has placed the 90 acres under contract and expects to close on the land by the end of the year. Development is slated to begin soon after that.
The project won’t feature industrial buildings as large as NorthPoint is developing at two other Kansas City-area projects, in Riverside and Edgerton.
