Foreclosures decline for state, St. Louis

St. Louis foreclosures for June were down compared to the same time last year, according to CoreLogic, a California based real-estate tracker. For the 12 months ending June 30, St. Louis had a foreclosure inventory of 0.7, which was down 0.4 percent from a year ago.

The state’s foreclosure inventory declined 0.3 percent, to 0.6 percent, for the 12 months ending in June. There were a total of 13,400 foreclosures statewide in that period.

Missouri is among the states with the lowest foreclosure rates in the nation. Arkansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wyoming, Arizona, South Dakota, Colorado, Montana and Virginia all had lower rates than Missouri.
