St. Anthony’s Medical Center will add 200 extra beds to its south St. Louis County campus in order to better provide continuum of care for hospital patients. The campus is already home to a hospice center that has 20 beds.
A hospital representative did not disclose the cost of the project, for which neither an architect nor a contractor has been chosen.
The expansion project, which mainly consists of erecting a one-story building, will add 120 beds for skilled nurse care and 80 others for assisted-living. This project is the hospital’s largest expansion since 2008.
