Generator Studio, a Kansas City-based architecture firm, is expected to invest $200,000 in a new studio and up to 10 new hires to match its rapidly growing client base. The firm will move into a 2,000-square-foot studio in Kansas City’s Crossroads Arts District, according to a news release from the Missouri Department of Economic Development.

Founded in 2009 by partners Mike Kress and Tom Proebstle, Generator Studio does projects on hospitality, mixed-use, residential and sports venue projects. The firm’s notable projects include the Branson Convention Center in Branson and the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa Bay, Fla.
